Soccer Snacks: Good vs. Evil
Soccer is a sport. In order to play a sport, players need healthy fuel. A balanced breakfast or lunch before a game should be good enough to get them through. During a game, children need water to rehydrate. Don't fall victim to the marketing mumbo jumbo that makes you think that your kids need Gatorade in order to play a game. Water will do.
Try to bring healthy snacks to your child's game. Good old fashioned orange slices are perfect. Orange slices are even fun... ever see a coach make a monkey face while eating an orange slice? Be creative! If you want to bring a sugary treat, save it for after the game.
